A card is selected and then shuffled back into the deck. The deck is handed to your spectator to hold as you mention you are wearing a novelty pair of socks. The socks are special as they have one playing card sewn into the design.

You build the suspense as you slowly lift your trouser leg up to reveal your sock. It does indeed have a card on it but it’s only the back! (This gets laughs). You now point out that at the top of the sock there is an arrow pointing to your other leg. You lift your other trouser leg up to reveal the face of a playing card and of course it’s the same as the chosen card!

They think the effect is over but now you hit them with a killer kicker. You ask them to remove their card from the pack they have been holding. They look through the pack and their card has vanished; only to appear tucked in your sock!
