Jokeren er ikke bare et wild card – i denne rutine kan den blive til ethvert kort i hele kortspillet. Max Mavens “Impressions” er en genial og overraskende rutine, der får publikum til at glippe med øjnene.
Du viser en joker fra et blåt kortspil samt spar es, 2 og 3 fra et rødt spil. Hver gang jokeren kommer tæt på et af kortene, forvandles den øjeblikkeligt til samme værdi. Derefter vælger en tilskuer frit et kort fra det røde spil, og jokeren forvandler sig straks til det valgte kort! For at bevise at kortet kan vælges frit, kan tilskueren bagefter blot nævne et hvilket som helst kort – og jokeren bliver straks til netop dét kort.
Finalen er helt uventet: Når jokeren lægges i tilskuerens hånd uden et kort at efterligne, bliver den fuldstændig blank og kan undersøges.
