MAGICK is considered the foremost mentalism periodical of its era (1970-1994). In awarding Bascom Jones its 1992 Literary Fellowship Award, the Academy of Magical Arts said of Magick that "future generations of mentalists will refer to this work as a source of the very best in the field."

The magazine's contributors comprised a "Who's Who" of mentalism and included Dan Alessini, Tony Andruzzi, Larry Becker, Rich Bloch, Bob Cassidy, Cicardi, Herb Dewey, Lee Earle, Jeff Evason, Maurice Fogel, Chuck Hickok, Docc Hilford, Stewart James, Ted Karmilovich, Ted Lesley, Al Mann, Richard Mark, Max Maven (under his Phil Goldstein moniker), Orville Meyer, Richard Osterlind, Phantini, Sydney Piddington, Barrie Richaradson, Steve Shaw (Banachek), Tony "Doc" Shiels, T.A.
