THE SPIRIT TRUMPET 2.0 – THE SPIRITS DO SPEAK!
We have acquired a single, lightly used example of this remarkable apparatus from Viking Magic in Texas. It has previously been used in a theatrical production and remains in very good condition. Everything has been tested and works exactly as it should.
Originally conceived by Gary Brown and brought to life by the craftsmen at Collectors’ Workshop/Viking Magic, the Spirit Trumpet is both a beautiful prop and a highly unusual performance piece. Version 2.0 features updated electronics and, most importantly, the trumpet can actually “speak” while you carry it around – with no wires connected to it.
The trumpet itself is crafted from spun aluminium over custom forms, with considerable attention given to its authentic, period appearance. The hardwood base, brass details and leather straps complete the look of an old museum piece or genuine spiritualist artefact.
The performer introduces the Spirit Trumpet as an object from the golden age of spiritualism, once belonging to the famous physical medium Mme. Palladino. With the aid of her trumpet, she supposedly communicated with those beyond the veil, allowing sitters to hear messages from the dearly departed.
With the Spirit Trumpet 2.0, you can recreate this atmosphere for a modern audience. Voices are clearly heard coming directly from the trumpet. The “spirits” can converse with the audience, answer questions, reveal hidden thoughts and much more.
The performer remains in complete control throughout, and no assistant is required. You decide which spirit – or spirits – will appear and what they will say, allowing the presentation and dialogue to be adapted for each individual performance.
