At the latest Blackpool Magic Convention, we found ourselves standing across the dealer booth from our Hungarian friend Astor, watching him demonstrate this effect over and over again. The moment you see the box, your curiosity is instantly triggered. It's unlike anything else on the market.
And then there's the video...
Can you figure out the secret?
No? Neither could we.
This is one of those rare effects that fools magicians and laymen alike.
The magician introduces a highly unusual deck of cards. Due to a printing mistake, the entire deck has been left completely blank on both sides, while all 52 cards have somehow been printed on the card box itself!
A spectator freely names any card displayed on the box.
The spectator then removes a single blank card from the deck and places it on the table. The card is returned and genuinely lost among the other blank cards.
The magician spreads the deck — and impossibly, the named card has appeared in the middle of the spread.
But the miracle doesn't stop there.
The spectator now decides what color the back of the named card should be. When the card is turned over, it matches the freely chosen color perfectly.
As a stunning finale, the magician shows that every other card in the deck remains completely blank on both sides.
Why you'll love it:
- Perfect for table hopping and walk-around performances
- Can be repeated multiple times for the same group with no reset
- Includes two additional handlings on the tutorial
- Easy to learn and perform
- No Rough & Smooth
- No Svengali principle
- No slim cards
- Uses a complete deck of 52 Bicycle cards
- Ready to perform straight out of the box
A highly original, baffling effect with a clever method and a prop that instantly sparks interest. Watch the demo carefully... we're willing to bet you won't figure it out.
