CAPTIVATE – A Modern Reinvention of Card to Hat
Card to Impossible Location has always been one of card magic's strongest plots. With CAPTIVATE, Christian Grace and WangZhe have given the classic a modern makeover, allowing a spectator's chosen card to impossibly appear inside an empty baseball cap.
A spectator selects a card. It may be signed or simply remembered. You pick up an ordinary baseball cap, turn it upside down and clearly show it empty. Moments later, the selected card is found inside!
No folded cards. No boxes. No awkward props. Just a clean, visual and highly memorable magical moment.
CAPTIVATE is designed for modern performers and works equally well for close-up, parlour, stage and social media performances.
Each gimmick is precision handmade by WangZhe to provide reliability, deceptive construction and effortless handling. The required action couldn't be simpler: if you can gently tilt a cap from side to side, you can perform CAPTIVATE.
You don't even need your own cap. The gimmick works with most standard baseball caps, including one borrowed from a spectator, allowing you to reset and perform again in just seconds.
Available in two versions
BACKER
For routines where the spectator signs the card before it appears inside the cap.
FACER
For routines performed with a non-signed card.
