The effect:
The magician has one deck and the spectator another, each with different backs. Both decks are shown, faces and backs, and shuffled independently. The magician and the spectator take turns placing cards face-up on the table. At any point, they decide to stop, swap two cards face-down, and continue. This is done a total of three times.
Without any suspicious moves, the magician spreads both decks face-up, and three cards with matching backs are clearly visible (Bicycle, Tally-Ho, Phoenix, Aviator, etc.). When the spreads are turned over, those three face-down cards match perfectly!
