COOKIE MONSTER – Bizzaro & Hanson Chien
Magic with cookies? Absolutely. And it looks surprisingly good!
Ten years as an idea and three years in development. Now Cookie Monster, created by the wonderfully inventive mind of Bizzaro and produced by Hanson Chien, has finally arrived at Pegani in Denmark.
So, what can you do with a cookie?
You display a golden sandwich cookie. With a simple toss into the air, it instantly changes into a familiar dark chocolate cookie. Right out in the open, with no cover whatsoever.
But there's more. Split one cookie into two – and keep producing more. For a finale, drop the cookies into an ordinary cup and pour out something completely different: mini cookies, chocolate candies, cheese crackers or even real coins!
Cookie Monster offers several possibilities for creating your own entertaining little routine. Use it as a quick surprise when someone offers you coffee, as a playful introduction to a longer routine, or as a magical snack for your close-up audience.
The beauty of the idea is its simplicity. Everyone knows what a cookie is supposed to do. That's exactly why it's so surprising when it suddenly behaves in ways it shouldn't.
The specially made props look remarkably realistic and are designed for repeated use. Everything you need to perform the effects is included, although combining the gimmicks with real cookies can make the magic even more convincing.
What's included:
-
One realistic dark sandwich cookie
-
One special splitting cookie gimmick
-
One golden color-changing gimmick
-
Access to a 42-minute English-language video tutorial featuring Bizzaro and Hanson Chien
The tutorial covers the different techniques, variations and presentation ideas, along with practical advice on angles and audience positioning. The effects look best from the front but can also be performed with spectators on either side.
Reset is quick, and the props are durable and made to last.
Cookie Monster is a lovely example of how an everyday object can become the starting point for some wonderfully visual magic.
