“The Magic Windmill” is a classic piece of magical apparatus that can still amaze, tease and mystify with its simplicity.

It consists of a grooved wooden stick fitted with a coloured propeller, together with a smaller stick. Rub the smaller stick back and forth along the grooves and the propeller will begin to spin. Then say “hhhhhuuuuiiiiiii” out loud, and the propeller will stop and start turning in the opposite direction!

The real fun begins when your friends try to copy you – and discover that they can’t even get the propeller to spin at all…
