Mummified Penetration – a new collectible from Magic Wagon
It has been quite some time since we last had a new release from Magic Wagon's exclusive range of mechanical magic apparatus. Now there is finally something new – and, as usual, it is something rather special.
You display a beautifully made cabinet, a solid mummy and a removable top fitted with 14 rustic brass spikes. First, it is clearly demonstrated that the spikes can pass all the way through the empty cabinet.
The mummy is shown from all sides and openly placed inside, with both its head and feet remaining visible. The top is replaced and all 14 spikes are pushed straight through the cabinet – apparently passing directly through the solid mummy.
The spikes are removed, the cabinet is opened, and the mummy is taken out completely unharmed and still perfectly solid.
It is a classic penetration illusion in miniature, but Magic Wagon has engineered the working in its own ingenious way. Everything is self-contained, the effect can be immediately repeated, and the mechanical solution is almost as fascinating as the illusion itself.
As you would expect from Magic Wagon, considerable attention has been given to the construction and finish. The cabinet has an antique appearance with hand-applied patina and rustic brass details, making this as much a display piece as a working magic prop. The manufacturing process took more than nine months to complete.
The cabinet measures approximately 17.5 × 12.5 × 6.5 cm (7 × 5 × 2.5 inches).
Because of the handmade patina finish, small variations and imperfections may occur. These are part of the character of the piece and do not affect its operation.
We have received only a good handful of pieces, and with Magic Wagon's limited production, this is very much a special item for collectors and enthusiasts of fine mechanical magic.
