After an intensive development process and numerous refinements, the illusion was presented at our stand in Blackpool 2026, where it generated massive interest and quickly sold out. Imagine presenting this:
You introduce the audience to Rocky Raccoon and explain that he is about to attempt a spectacular escape in true Houdini style.
You display a beautiful metal escape box, clearly shown empty from every angle. Rocky is placed inside, his tail hanging visibly over the edge. A cardboard cover is placed over the box, and you invite the audience to count: 3… 2… 1… NOW!
The cover is lifted — but Rocky has not vanished… His tail is still sticking out, and your audience immediately senses what’s at stake. The tension builds. We have to try again — and this time, everyone must join in!
You hand the cardboard cover to a spectator, leaving the escape box standing freely in full view with the tail still visible. You step down among the audience and count loudly together: 3… 2… 1… NOW!
The very moment the audience shouts NOW, Rocky vanishes in a brilliant flash of light!
The box can be shown completely empty from all sides. Your raccoon has truly disappeared!
Moments later, Rocky can reappear — perhaps inside the cardboard cover held by the spectator, or somewhere entirely unexpected.

Use your own Rocky Raccoon or get your new best buddy in entertainement now. This is not included. If you happen to have a different type of raccoon than the standard model, you can easily replace the tail in the box yourself – Emil also explains this in the instructional video.
When it comes to the flash effect, Emil has designed the mechanism so cleverly that you can choose whether to use the built-in strobe light or traditional flash cotton. Both options work beautifully — and the flash happens at the exact moment the tail disappears.
