Kendama is a handmade Japanese wooden toy which is made up of Ken (grip) and Tama (ball) connected by a strong nylon rope. The grip is made of three cups and a spike, designed to impale the ball. The Kendama has been developed over centuries and has roots all the way back in the 16th century.
Kendama is about catching the ball in one of the three cups or impaling the ball on the spike and balancing the Kendama in many different ways! With all the ways you can twist and turn the Kendama, it is said that there are more than 30.000 possible tricks!
