Crystal Prison is a powerful new addition to cube magic, developed through a collaboration between Flat Base and TCC Magic. Combining a signed Rubik's Cube, an impossible vanish, and an astonishing location reveal, this effect introduces a fresh and highly deceptive plot to the cube genre. Supplied with an RD Cube and stickers from Henry Harrius Presents, it integrates perfectly with your existing cube routines.
The Effect
You introduce two Rubik's Cubes and a prediction bag, which can even be placed in the safe keeping of a spectator. A spectator freely selects one of the cubes, signs it, and scrambles it thoroughly. Both cubes—the solved cube and the scrambled signed cube—are placed inside a paper bag.
After a little byplay, you remove the solved cube. Moments later, the paper bag is crushed completely flat—the spectator's signed cube has vanished.
Attention is now turned to the prediction bag. Inside is a locked transparent box. When the box is opened, the spectator's own scrambled and signed cube can be poured out from inside!
From here, the routine can naturally continue into other cube effects. You can instantly solve the cube, make it match the scramble of another cube, or take the routine in any direction you wish.
Alternative Presentation
You can also begin with a scrambled cube visibly locked inside the transparent box. When the spectator's signed cube vanishes, it is revealed that the cube inside the box has been their signed cube all along.
Think of it as a Mystery Box routine—with a Rubik's Cube.
