A small, elegant wooden box, suspended in chains, is handed to a spectator. The spectator is asked to name a random number between 1 and 52.
The box is released from the chains, and the spectator opens it and removes the contents: a small envelope and a deck of cards.
The envelope is opened and is found to contain a playing card, which is placed face down on the table.
The spectator now deals down through the deck until they reach their chosen number. The card at that position is also placed on the table.
The prediction is turned over — it is exactly the same card!!!
