BUTTERFLY PLAYING CARDS – WHITE BORDER
Butterfly Playing Cards were designed by Swedish designer Stefan Eriksson, based on an original idea by Czech magician Ondřej Pšenička. The distinctive butterfly design has become a modern classic among magicians – not least because of the ingenious marking system elegantly hidden within the back design.
This White Border Edition combines the iconic Butterfly design with the traditional white border preferred by many working magicians. The border makes the cards particularly suitable for routines such as sandwiches and Triumph, while also helping to disguise double cards and other techniques where multiple cards are handled as one.
Ingenious marking system
The cards are, of course, still marked. The system has been specially adapted to work with the bordered back design, with markings located in all four corners. This means you can always get a read regardless of the orientation of the card or whether you are right- or left-handed.
The marking system reveals both the value and suit of each card and, once learned, can be read quickly and naturally.
Each deck includes access to an approximately 30-minute online video tutorial explaining the marking system in detail.
There are also a few clever details on the faces. The centre pips on all four Aces have been enlarged slightly, making them stand out and easier for spectators to see from a distance. Both the faces and backs also feature a subtle one-way design, giving the creative magician even more possibilities.
Four beautiful colours

Red and blue are the V2 editions, produced by Room One on their 300gsm Elite Stock.
Orange and pink are special limited editions produced by UDS Playing Card Co. on their crushed Premium Stock. Only 1,250 decks of each colour were produced.
All four editions include an extra double-backer.
